I wasn’t planning to visit Seattle until the family called. It is also my very first time to visit Seattle. Just came back from a trip to Asia, and after seeing some really big cities, I wasn’t visiting Seattle to see its city. My stay in Seattle was just a weekend. It was a short trip, but I still got to see some uniqueness of Seattle.
Space Needle is the icon of Seattle. Downtown Seattle skyline, as well as the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Elliott Bay and surrounding islands can be viewed from the top of the Needle.
Pike Market, sprawls across nine acres, with 11 buildings and six levels of approximately 500 shops, restaurants, and vendor stalls.
I am a big fan of nature. After touring the Space Needle and Pike Market, I was ready to hit the road to see the beautiful nature right outside the city. Since time is limited, I decided to visit Snoqualmie Falls area. Back to the time when I was living in East Coast, I got to visit the famous Niagara Falls. But ever since I moved to West Coast, I haven’t got the chance to visit any waterfall in California. So Snoqualmie Falls became my interest while I was in Seattle.
Compared to Niagara Falls, Snoqualmie Fall is tiny. But it was still very pretty to visit. Especially going down to the water side, the view is just breathtaking. I was very glad that I took this trip.
